Ensuring you have the right staff to do the job

Pre-employment assessments

Pre-Employment Assessments

Pre-Employment Health Assessments are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the position.  We ensure employees have the appropriate level of fitness to perform effectively in their job role, with no risk to either themselves or others.

The assessment covers
  • Past and present medical conditions
  • Any current medication
  • Previous employment history
  • An examination by a Nursing Advisor, which includes height, weight, BMI, pulse and blood pressure measurements

Additional Assessments 

Additional assessments can be added as per job specification and can include 
  • Lung function
  • Audiometric screening
  • Vision screening (including colour vision) 
  • Urine, drug and alcohol analysis
  • Musculoskeletal and skin checks
  • Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS)
  • Mobile plant and night work assessments
A written report is produced on the basis of this assessment.  This covers the candidate's fitness for the post, adjustments if required and any client advice if applicable.

Postal Health Declaration Forms can be completed and screened by our Nursing Advisors to ensure you employ staff with the appropriate level of fitness to perform their roles.
